Privacy Policy
I. What kind of information do we collect from you when you visit our site?
When you visit nicholascolecellars.com our stats package from Google collects some basic information about your browser. Examples are things like what type of browser and operating system are you using. How long did you stay on our site? What pages did you peruse? This helps us understand how visitors browse our site so that we can make our shopping experience better.
We also collect personal information about you when you check out of our store including your name, address, postal code, phone number, etc. We need this information to process your payment and ship your merchandise to you.
II. Sharing of information - we don't do it.
Under no circumstances do we share any information that we collect with any third parties or web sites. All the information you give us is completely private and used solely for order processing and shipping. If you give us permission to send you e-newsletters and product updates then we use your email address for that purpose, but never does that information get sold or distributed to any other web site or mailing list.
III. Newsletter Opt-Out.
If you have chosen to receive our newsletter or email updates and decide you don’t want to receive them anymore, we have a simple unsubscribe form that will let you get off our email list.
IV. Consumer inquiries and privacy.
If you have any questions about your privacy, or want to make changes to your profile, or get off our marketing list, simply send us an email.
V. Protecting your information.
All the information we collect is done so under SSL - a standard internet security measure. Any data that we store about you is kept behind a secure firewall in our database and is not accessible to the public in anyway.
How Do We Secure Information Transmissions?
Email is not recognized as a secure medium of communication. For this reason, we request that you do not send private information to us by email.
E-Commerce Security
All e-commerce orders, and club signups happen under 128-bit SSL encryption, which are enabled by either Verisign, or one of its subsidiaries Geotrust or RapidSSL. Pages utilizing this technology will have URLs that start with HTTPS instead of HTTP. Please contact info@nicholascolecellars.com if you have any questions or concerns. For e-commerce orders, credit cards are not stored (a customer can have their profile remembered for an expedited checkout, but they must enter their credit card everytime). Credit cards are simply handed off to a payment provider and never stored to a database or physical file. (We do keep the last 4 digits as well as the expiry date of the credit card on file).

Payments are processed by Authorize.Net, with Authorize.Net, you can be confident your data is secure. They utilize industry-leading technologies and protocols, such as 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and are compliant with a number of government and industry security initiatives.
