2006 Dauphine
An elegant, sophisticated Northern Rhone style Syrah, with a focused finish, balanced acidity and ripe tannins. The nose offers subtle toasted spices, and a smokiness to complement the layers of blackberries and blueberries. On the palate there is an explosion of bright fruit complimented by hints of leather and sweet pipe tobacco.
600 cases. Aged 20 months in 50% new and 50% neutral French oak barrels. Unfiltered, unfined. 100% Syrah.
